Formerly, there were faculty of Animal Health and Production, later on became Faculty of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine. Since end of 2012, it became into two faculties separately. The faculty of Animal Science aims to: 

  • Develop new breeds of livestock that can adapt to the tropical climate, resistant to diseases and provide a high rate growth. 
  • Conserve the gene bank of animal genetic biodiversity base on in-situ and ex-situ conservation.
  • Investigate the utilization of non-conventional feed resources in animal feeding including methods of obtaining, post-harvest processing and conserving.
  • Improve feed and feeding management for maximum growth and benefit.
