The Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) Library is managed under the university’s academic administration, led by a chief librarian and supported by staff. Its main responsibilities include:
Collection Management: Acquisition and organization of books, journals, theses, and agricultural research resources.
User Services: Borrowing, reference assistance, and study spaces for students and lecturers.
Digital Development: Gradual adoption of digital catalogs and online resources.
Resource Support: Funded by the university and supported by international partners (e.g., JICA, FAO, NGOs).
Human Resources: Librarians and assistants receive ongoing training to strengthen capacity.
Challenges include limited funding, the need for digital modernization, and staff development.
Future direction is toward a hybrid library (print + digital), better online access, and expanded international cooperation.
